Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive into Tarangire National Park, famous for its enormous elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Spend the afternoon on your first game drive along the Tarangire River, where elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a remarkable variety of birdlife gather year-round.

Drive into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, climbing through lush highland forests before descending into the crater floor for a full afternoon game drive. The crater is home to around 25,000 animals including lions, elephants, buffalo, and one of Tanzania's last populations of black rhino.
