Tarangire
Drive into Tarangire National Park and spend the afternoon photographing along the Tarangire River. Elephant herds are the headline here — large, accessible, and photogenic against the baobab landscape. Morning and late afternoon light in Tarangire is exceptional, and two days here allows you to work the same subjects at different times of day.

Tarangire
A full day in Tarangire. Your guide will position you at productive water sources, riverine crossings, and areas of known elephant movement. The baobab trees provide extraordinary compositional anchors for landscape and wildlife images — take time with them.

Tarangire → Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro
Drive to Ngorongoro and descend early into the crater to work the morning light against the crater's dramatic backdrops. The rim light in the early hours creates a distinctive quality not found anywhere else — plan to be at the bottom before 8am if possible. Lions, rhinos, and flamingos at Lake Magadi are the primary subjects.

Ngorongoro → Central Serengeti
Central Serengeti
Drive into the Serengeti and spend the afternoon in the field as the central plains open up ahead of you. By late afternoon the light is ideal for open landscape and plains game photography. Arrive at Sametu Camp — a well-positioned base for four days in the central and southern Serengeti.

Serengeti
A full day working the central valleys, kopje formations, and river systems where predators are most reliably found. Big cat photography is the focus here — lions on kopjes, cheetahs scanning the grass, and leopards in the acacia trees along the rivers. Packed breakfast and lunch means maximum time in the field.

Central Serengeti
Another full day in the central Serengeti. With four days in this area, your guide can return to productive sightings, track known individuals, and cover new ground across the plains. The diversity of subjects — from elephant herds to secretary birds — means no two days are the same.
