Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive into Tarangire National Park for your first afternoon game drive. Tarangire is one of Tanzania's most underrated parks — its elephant herds are among the largest in the country, and the Tarangire River draws exceptional wildlife concentrations during the dry months.

Drive into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater for an afternoon game drive. The crater's self-contained ecosystem supports lions, elephants, hippos, and one of Africa's densest black rhino populations — all within the walls of an ancient volcanic caldera.

Ndutu / Southern Serengeti
Travel south into the Ndutu area, the heart of the calving season. From January to March, hundreds of thousands of wildebeest gather on these short-grass plains to give birth, attracting lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and wild dogs. Wildlife viewing often begins long before reaching camp.

A full day in Ndutu with flexible off-road game drives across the open plains and acacia woodlands. Your guide will track the herds and predators throughout the day, with excellent opportunities to witness natural hunting behaviour and the remarkable sight of newborn calves taking their first steps.
