Central Serengeti
Enter the Serengeti with game drives beginning along the route. By May, large sections of the wildebeest migration have begun moving north and west, and wildlife concentrations in the central plains are excellent.

A full day in the central Serengeti exploring the river systems, plains, and kopje country. This is one of the most diverse areas of the park for predator and prey interactions, and your guide will plan drives around current wildlife movement.

Western Serengeti
Drive west into the Serengeti's western corridor as the landscape shifts to riverine forest and open woodland. The Grumeti River area is where the first major migration river crossings take place — massive Nile crocodiles wait in the water as the herds attempt to cross.

Western Serengeti
A full day in the western corridor exploring the Grumeti River area. Game drives cover open grassland, acacia woodland, and the riverine forest where monkeys, hippos, and forest birds are commonly seen alongside the migrating herds.
